Hi! I am Sachiko Kobayashi, a Peruvian artist. The work I do as a freelancer focuses on botanical and scientific drawing, but as I am also an illustrator, I am open to discover new interests.
I studied at the School of Fine Arts of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, where I graduated with honors. Since then I have participated in some exhibitions in Peru and in the rest of the world, as a solo artist and as part of collectives:
- "Salón de Arte Joven Nikkei" (Tokyo in 2019)
- “KOMOREBI*” (Peruvian Japanese Association of Peru in 2019)
- “Poéticas de Transición” (Peruvian Japanese Association of Peru in 2017)
- "Proyectos de Desplazamiento" (Wu Gallery in 2016),
- "Rumiqolca, el despertar de una cantera" (Ministry of Culture of Peru in 2016),
- "Concurso de Arte Joven Contemporáneo de Miraflores" (Ricardo Palma Cultural Center in 2014)
among others.
I have done some work as an illustrator in projects in Peru for the Ministry of Education, Café Compadre, Hermanos Magia; as well as internationally for Nitay Superalimentos in Chile and Braj Vrindavan Act Now in India.
And, as you will soon discover, I have personal projects involving drawing and organizing workshops to share what I have learned so far.
